Reorganizing Pages in Structures

Tiki makes it easy to move or re-order pages within a structure. You can also easily change the parent-child relationship between pages.

Moving Pages

  1. Return to he Structures page and review the My New Book structure.
Let's move the Another Page to appear after Chapter One.
  2. Simply drag-and-drop the page to its new location.

  3. If the structure looks correct, click Save. Tiki saves the information and reloads the page.

The Another Page, is in its new location — after Chapter One (instead of as a chlid of Chapter One).

Promoting and Demoting Pages

In addition to moving pages forward or backwards within the structure, you can also promote (i.e., become a parent) or demote (i.e, become a child) pages.

Let's demote Another Page and make it a child of Chapter One (and at the same level as the 2.1 Introduction).

  1. As before, simply drag Another Page to its new position, directly after Introduction (and indented under Chapter One).

Notice that Another Page has become a child of Chapter One, after Introdution. It is now item 2.2 in the structure.
  2. If the structure looks correct, click Save. Tiki saves the information and reloads the page.

You can easily move any page to any location in the structure. Be sure to click Save when you're done!
